D-Wave announced a peer-reviewed Nature paper demonstrating its dual-rail qubit architecture achieves ~99.9% fidelity in two-qubit entangling gates with 500-nanosecond gate times. The research shows simulated potential to reduce logical error rates by 10× per correction increment (Lambda=10), substantially lowering physical qubit overhead for fault-tolerant gate-model quantum computing. The gate is already integrated into D-Wave's current gate-model systems and supports the company's roadmap targeting a 100-logical-qubit system by 2032.
